How do you play F#m on the guitar?

From the picture I am looking at - it looks like I don't even have enough fingers to play?

Directions please?

  1. they call that one a barre cord. Think of it as "barring" the lowest notes across the whole neck of the guitar with your index finger. Use your other fingers to make the rest of the chord. These chords are the make/break chords for guitar playing, because these ones hurt to play, and they're really awkward feeling.


  2. If you have small hands play the entire scale and then decide how you're gonna hit that minor 3rd and 5th

  3. It only takes 3 fingers - one to spare.

    You bar all 6 strings with your index finger on the 2nd fret. Then use ring and pinky to hit the 4th/5th strings (D & A strings) on the 4th fret.  Middle finger can lay on index to help bar.  Remember to use the bony side of your index finger to bar, and move it around to find the sweet spot.

    Now move to B7 ;P
