Both but I don't have much fun with the cards.  I love my Gameboy and DS versions.  Who cares if you get made fun of.  If you enjoy it then go for it.

its both  cards are just playin cards really not much fun but the games r more fun  for nearly all consoles to gameboy, ds, gamecube and wiim and online   hope i helped

Both, it originated as a card game but was creatively turned into an electronic game.
