my friend and i need to set up a capture the flag game in a few days.

there will be approximately sixty kids participating.

the thing is, neither of us know how to play. at all.

can someone please help us out and tell us exactly how to play?

any suggestions would be helpful.

  1. There should be a half line. When the opposite team crosses the half line into the other team's field, they can be tagged by the other team, which sends them to a "jail". The prisoners can be released by being tagged by their own team.

The objective is to get the flag on opposite ends of the field and return it to your own side. The is a "safely zone" around the flag, so when you enter this zone, you are immune to tags.

  2. I honestly couldnt remember til I read these. All are pretty much correct. Think you have enuff info to play your game.

  3. split up into 2 teams and both teams each have a flag or something to represent a flag. u try to capture the opposing team's flag and bring it back to ur flag. if u do that without being tagged u score.

  4. Divide into two teams, then divide the field into three section: 1 for each team, and a small amount for "no man's land" between. Each team takes a turn hiding something that is the designated flag. The flag has to be showing a little bit, enough so that you don't have to dig around to find it. Once the flags are hidden, each team has to find the other teams flag. Here's the catch: if you go into the other teams area, they can catch you and send you to "jail" (a spot on the team who caught you's land.) then only way to get out is for another one of your players to run in without being caught, and tag you. The game is over when one of the teams has either caught opposing  the flag, or captured all of their people. Super fun game, I play it with my cousins every year.

  5. You steel the flag.

  6. divide the field into 2 halves

then in all 4 corners put some cones up in the shape of a large square. The right side is free base, the left is jail.

give each team a flag and they need to keep it in bounds and protected.

    PLAY!

once someone crosses to the other player's half they can get tagged. if they are tagged then they are sent to jail.

People have to stay in bounds and the only way you can be freed from jail is if someone successfully makes it to the jail where your team members are held captive.

The game continues until the flag is captured and successfully brought to the other team's half.

I'm sorry if that was confusing! I hope this helps!

  7. it is a combination of freeze tag and hide-and-seek

to start, both teams hides their flags anywhere they desire on one side, while the other team does the same on the other side.

then, the one team must find the other team's flag and bring it back safely to their side of the field. if an individual were to have a flag, the opponents are allowed to tag them forcing them to freeze for several seconds losing the flag.

i suppose that with 60 kids or so, you should make each tag like a tag-out
