How do you play flag football?

Ok, so in gym we're playing flag football. I HAVE NO IDEA how to play football or flag football. Can someone explain what the downs are, and all that? The kick-offs and all that? Also, all the girls [we play coed] on my team are super mean. Me and my friend picked them [Im the team captain] and they keep saying why did you pick me?!

They dont even throw the ball to me AND ITS MY FREAKING TEAM!! There's one bossy girl who tells us what to do and this other girl who calls me and my friend names! How can I stop them and control my own team? Thanks =D

Kick off the people you don't like or bench them. Secondly you usually play 7 on 7 all rules are the same as normal football except instead of tackling you have to tear their flag off the person that has the ball.

ok so downs, you are basically attempts, you have four attempts to score a touch down after they punt or kick the ball to your team. if you cannot do it in four tries, on the fourth try you can go for the kick and try to score some points
