  1. Get some lessons about blues on www.8notes.com

    They are really helpful!

    You should try it!

  2. Yes... 12 bar blues is kind of hard to explain.  I will try to explain an example, then refer you to some songs done in "12 bar".

12 bar music is generally done in what would be called a l-lV-V progression.   Meaning.. if the song is in the key of A.. the chord progression would be centered around the A,D, and E chords.  In its simplist form, it bounces back and forth between the l and lV chord, with the resolve being the V. 12 measures of music.......

So.. heres a few examples of 12 bar music you can listen to.

St. Louis Blues... by W.C. Handy

    Im Movin On........ Hank Snow

    Hound Dog......... Elvis Presley

At the Hop.......... Danny and the Juniors

Theres 4 songs you can listen to... and 2 of them, Hound Dog and At the Hop are Rock and Roll songs from the 1950's, while the first 2 ive listed are blues standards.

  3. explaining twelve bar blues is very hard. if you see it or hear it. it will be better. look up some SRV or BB king tabs. listen to their stuff too. then focus on the rhythm guitar
