  1. It is not that hard unless you are the horse.

  2. it is very tough, you have to have extremely strong legs, be ready for some dirty fighting under the water. the basics are that theres two goals, one for each team. each team has 6 players and one goalie. the players are only alowed to touch the ball with one hand, the goalie can touch it with two.  there are 4 kind of field players, hole, defensive hole or holeguard, driver, and wing.  you will probably switch in and out of most of them, but usually a team will have a more designated hole and holeguard.  oh these players are usually set in a 3-3 position, so two lines of three horizontal to the goal with the hole in the middle front, wings front outside, drivers back corners, and hole guard back middle. there are variations on positions but youll learn later.  pretty much anything goes underwater unless you completely dunk them, above water on offense you cant push off the guy to get space bu you can have your arm up to hold him back some. on defense you can foul the guy when he doesnt have the ball in his actual hand and you have too much contact or if you hit the person in the head, you can hit the arm in a pass that wont be a foul. once fouled you have a free pass,... wow i could go on for a long time i hope this is a basic view and not too confusing

  3. You tread water for a whole h**l of lotta time. I would say its hard, but it is fun.

  4. it is not hard but u should really like to swim....

  5. Like many sports, the rules are involved and you should look them up...You will, of course, find some variations.

As to hard, it requires the ability to swim for long periods, have physical contact when fighting for the ball, and the ability to swim with your head up for long periods (and tread water).  But I loved it while in High School.

  6. Water Polo is really fun. The only downside is that you are playing mostly in a diving pool which is really deep. If you decide not to swim and keep a float, your going to drown. So constantly you have to be kicking your legs. I would suggest you should condition if you wanted to play for a school or something like that.
