  1. Paul is right.  You kill--defeather--then gut the bird--in that order.  Then cook and eat.  lol

  5. I recall, as a youngster, cleaning poultry.   My recollection is that we didn't eviscerate the bird until after the boiling water to loosen the feathers treatment, the removal of the feathers and recleaning.  Then, we gutted it.  Be sure to save the giblets for the gravy.
