How do you plug a microphone into a tv (to do karaoke) when the tv has only audio in jacks?

We want to do karaoke on demand on our tv. We need to somehow plug the microphone in but have only audio in jacks on front of tv, and video in. Hmm... Also on our receiver and dvd player we only have a headphone jack. Help !! There must be an adapter or some way to do this... Thanks :)

You cannot plug a microphone directly into your tv.

You need a special unit designed for karaoke or a seperate stereo unit with mic inputs.
