How do you post a video on youtube with it being longer then eight minutes?

one of the guide lines on youtube is that your video has to be shorter then eight minutes and my video is 11 minutes. but ive seen videos that are as long as 60 minutes so how can i be like that and upload my video succesufully.

Compress with iMovie..but if u have windows then u have to publish or something.

I tought it should be less than 10 minutes. Still your video will not fit. Upgrade to a director account to upload more then 8 or 10 minute videos.

youtube will not accept file exceeding 100 MB and 10 minutes, you need to split it and upload separately in series...

moviemaker can help you split it and also edit it.

windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....
