  1. I usually package the item up, then weigh it on my bathroom scales ...log onto parcleforce.com enter the weight of the parcel in kg/ g and where its going from and to...it should give you a price and also the option to arrange a collection from your home (if you pay online) and you print off your label where it is going too.... parcelforce collect it at the given time and scan the bar code ...then at least it is trackable too.  Easier and cheaper than hunting about courier company's..

  2. It depends on the total weight and whether it's boxed. If it's a computer, definitely try to box it up, it will give you more postage options.

Once you know how heavy it is, you can ring around various couriers and delivery services, or go to the Post Office and see what they offer, or you can do the same research on the web.

Make sure you work out the postage costs before you list the item, because otherwise you might end up losing out on a lot of money if you badly underestimate what the delivery charges will be.

Many bikes and other very large items on eBay are sold as "collection only", ie. the buyer must visit the seller's shop/house and get it themselves. If you list it that way you might get less money for the bike because you'll be limiting yourself to buyers local to your area, but at least you won't have to worry about the postage- and then if you list it that way and it doesn't sell, you can always list it again with postage offered.

  3. i would presume you would just contact fedex etc instead of going to the post office

  4. I am an independent affiliate for Global Domains International. They are an awesome company!! Look at my website it gives you all the info.
