  1. I use a mixture of things.

    * Speed and (potential) class

    * Current form & workouts leading up to the race

    * Current trainer & jockey

    * How the horse has run on a certain surface and distance; especially when it comes to handicapping turf races and races run on synthethic tracks

    * Possible pace scenarios.  This can be really important if you have a handful of early frontrunners that can tire each other out and set it up for a stalker/closer, or if there are only a few early speeders that might be able to shake loose and find something left to hold off the closers.

    I play all of that out, combined with the odds, to try to come up with winners at value, because that's where the money is.

  2. handicap the races, talk to the stable workers, or i like to bet jockeys, not so much trainers, take for example Todd Pletcher, the best trainer statistically in the u.s. but he has only won 1 triple crown race out of 22 or 23

  3. Guess!  Just like everyone else... unless it fixed!

  4. Speed rating and past performance in the last 3 races... it's not for certain... but it's usually close.

  5. I have always combined 1)Jockey , 2) Morning line up and 3) Jockey change to get results.

  6. bet the top 5 trainers and 5 top jockeys..they will win 80% of the races at any given track, and if you can get the top jockey and top trainer with the same horse, what a bet that is....good luck and good racing...

  7. they call it handicapping not predictions....anyways i'm not certain if there is any one way to do it...everytime i go to the track it seems to me that the people know best....i watch the odds for a horse getting alot of action...example: if a horse starts out at 50/1 then by 3 or 4 mins.to post he's dropped to 4/1 or 5/1 ill bet him to place or show...i never bet a horse to win...good luck i hope this helps

  8. YOU CAN'T . THE SPORT IS UNFORTUNATLY TOO CORRUPT , WITH HORSES BEING PULLED UP AND HAVING DRUGS IN THEIR SYSTEM . OH I NEARLY FORGOT THE BOOKIES AND HOW MUCH THEY PAY JOCKEYS TO LOSE !!
