Hurricane Coming – A Partenza Represa
by C.S. Scotkin
Hurricane’s coming to my house.
to my house Fay's not invited,
not invited clouds are sighted
clouds are sighted in grayer skies.
I grayer skies I take no joy,
I take no joy, must now employ,
must now employ all of my strength,
my strength, to prepare for the worst.
Prepare for worst, hope for the best,
two kitties and I have been blessed,
blessed with a sense of adventure!
adventure! I’m packing our bags.
Packing our bags, to be prepared,
be prepared if the call shall come,
if the call shall come to our home,
our home evacuate, be safe.
Be safe, this is my mantra now,
my mantra now as you surmise,
as you surmise this is the price,
the price I pay for paradise.
