How do you prevent a myspace profile from being seen publicly?

I thought I blocked it from public eyes, but when I go to www.myspace/xxxxx -- it still shows the profile. How can I prevent that?

Go into your preferences and change your setting to private.  Be aware that ANYONE can view what you post on the WWW.  That includes colleges you may be applying to, jobs you are applying for; and believe me they check!

I am repeatedly amazed at how naive the younger generation is about who can see what they have posted on the world's largest bulletin board.

Think of it this way, do you wnt your mom to see/read this?  If not, don't put it on the world wide web.

make sure you log out before entering the URL or it will still show you because even if it is set to private YOU can still see YOUR profile.

well if you went to edit profile er w/e at blocked it and it isnt blocked then you need to check with tom about that.

go into your account settings and change it.

you have to signout of your myspace; then go on it and it will be

private

if not then you didn't putit on

private..

Just edit your privacy options. Find My Account on the page and click on it. Then choose who you allow to see your profile. It's easy. I think the choices you have are "everyone", "friends of friends", "only friends", "no one". I can't be sure though. Just check. If it doesn't work, you might have to copy and paste some code or something. BUt it usually works so don't worry. Try taking personal info away. Make your age a couple of years older or younger. Change your state and city. Don't get a profile picture of your face close up. Make a surfing avatar or something. Good luck!!!

go to account setting and turn it to "private" so that only friends can see it. but if you're signed in, and look at you're profile you can always see it. but if you are signed out, and type in your URL adress,  then it will be blocked.
