Use an antibiotic cream that helps heals scars.  Keep it covered with a bandaid or wrap the first few days.  Keep the scab/scar moist using cocoa butter lotion.

Try rubbin sawdust and clean dirt in it.  I had good luck wit that when I got cut up with my saw.

1 clean it with soap and water, hydrogen peroxide   and apply an antibotic ointment then cover with a bandaid.  repeat this cleaning once a day for the first week. to prevent infection &  a moist wound heals better.  

#2 the second week use petroleum jelly as a covering  it helps the scab not to harden   (there are now also special ointments that may be better than gold old Petroleum jelly that  can help lessen scars  ask your druggist or pharmacist)
