How do you program a speed dial on a Nortel C9316 phone?!?

I have inherited a line with a Nortel C9316 handset and the display is no longer working and I can't work out how to program the speed dial buttons on the right hand side...............................can anybody help?

Hi There, These phone are real clunky old kit - I found the best way to programme them was to use the index fingers on both hands and gently press the buttons. Aparently as ledgend goes, there is only 1 person in the UK who collects manuals on these things (bit of a closet Nortel anorak), goes by the name of Pat - You had better get him quick as he leaves off at 15:30 sharpish.....
