How do you program the built in garage door opener on a 2006 C230?

My car has the buttons on the rear view mirror to program a garage door opener or a gate opener. Can anyone tell me how to program it?

Have your garage opener with you. Turn the ignition key 2 clicks to position 2, hold in one of the car's opener buttons while watching the little light. When it starts to blink slowly push down on your garage door opener's button ( while still holding in on car's button). When the light blinks rapidly it is programmed. Try opening your garage using the car's button. If it does not work you have a rolling code opener and has to be programmed with the garage door motor, you need your manual to do that.

Check the owners manual. If your don't have it then go to the dealer and have them explain it to you. every car is different.

Turn on the car. Get your garage door remote, hold down the 1st and 3rd button until the little light begins to flash quickly. After that get the remote to the garage and hold down the button on it and the 1st button under the mirror until the light underneath the mirror starts to flash. then release both buttons. If its still not working, get a ladder and look under the light cover of the opener motor or behind it, beside it, somewhere in that area and there should be a button that says,"Learn" "smart" "program" or something like that. press that button, run back to your car and hold down the button under your mirror.
