Could anyone help me with the pronunciation of the Irish name Tadhg?

Its exactly like tiger but without the er at the end.

Just say tiger and leave of the er like tieg.

Its not tayg or tag.

Its waht I'm going to name my son (after my grandfather).

It a very common name in the part of Ireland I live in.

Its a really good name.

Unfortunately its often mispronounced outside Ireland.

I know a Tadhg who lives in Washington and is sick of people insisting he is pronouncing his name wrong.

I think it's pronounced like TIGER except without the ER sound as the ADH sounds like IE.
