I am drying out some Thai chili seeds that I took from a pepper. How long should I let them dry? When I sow them, do I put only one seed per pot or a couple together? Thank you all for the tips!

  1. Store those seeds in a cool dry place over the winter. Next spring plant them out in a seeding tray about a 1/4" deep in a good well draining potting mix (don't use "soil"). Keep them warm and in good light and transplant when they are about 2 or 3" tall, second set of permenant leaves. I usually plant 2 to a cell and then snip off the weaker one, don't pull them. Chilies need good warmth to germinate so you might try starting them indoors to get an earlier start. Don't let people tell you that you can't get them going from store bought fruit, I have several that I harvested myself and are fruiting now themselves.
