How do you properly cite a passage from a novel?

I am writing a report in which I have to write a passage from a novel (and cite it properly) and then describe how it is important to developing the theme. I am doing Uglies by Scott Westerfield and the passage is on page 267 and 268.

You cite from a novel like this:

"Passage you want to cite, blah blah blah." (Westerfield pg 267,268).
