rub the "man in the boat" and move it around to see how it reacts then gently slid a finger or 2 in and curve it upwards too hit that "magic" spot and sit back and watch it wiggle in joy.

Depends on the beaver.  Some like it a little rougher than others.  Pay attention to how the beaver is responding to your stroking.
