How do you protect your AConditioner in the summer from the Rain, do you cover it?

I want to know if I can cover the AConditioner in the summer to keep the rain out of it and still have it perform correctly.

It can stand some rain, it is an outdoor unit.

If you are talking about a window unit do not worry about it. It is good for it as it needs cleaning regularly, I take mine outside and use the hose on the coils.

The part that is outside is made to take the weather.  If it is slightly tilted down towards the outside, the rain will not get into it.
