My grandma was a genealogist that told me alot about my family and explained and showed me documents that proved that i was a descendant of Charlemagne. I have no idea where the papers are now that she has passed and no one in my family knows what i am talking about, but my grandma and i were very close and she wouldnt lie to me about something like that.

What kind of work or organization/research would it take to get documented as a descendant?

is anyone a documented descendant?

have any advice?

Thank you!

  1. its been theorised that all people of European descent are related to Charlemagne...Do you know anyone famous from your recent family line?? you can find most famous people descended line on the internet..for example,  I'm related to Daniel Boone  so I look on the internet for Daniel Boone ancestory and it will show if he is decended from royalty, which he is by the way  and you, guessed it, all the way back to Charlemagne.

  2. It would not be that hard to prove that you are related to Charlemagne.  Most Western Europeans are related to him. He had about 10 wives and concubines during the course o his lie and he had children with all of them.

I don't believe there is an official, nationally or internationally recognized organization in the United States. I have never heard anything in Europe either, but try these sites for some help:

    http://groups.msn.com/societyofthedescen...

    http://geneweb.inria.fr/roglo?lang=en

    http://www.thepeerage.com/

    http://www.familysearch.org

    Good Luck!

  3. At least a quarter of western Europeans are descended from Charlemagne. You ain't nothing special.

  4. consult a french geneaologal socity since Charlemagne was a French/German king.

  5. If you've class & born with silver spoon you know you're royal.

Cuz you could marry one of the Royalties to become a Royalty.

  6. Probably millions of people are descendants of Charlemagne. That does not make them royalty.

  7. well I'm from Turkey and my fmily is related to the ottomans, and we can prove it, for our

    1) Last name.

    2) Family pictures,

    3) More importantly, our property land etc that are notarized by the gov of royal possessions.

If neither works for you, I donno....
