How do you pull a tomato off the plant?

I generally hold the vine and twist the tomato off. If you use a knife, I've heard it's best to disinfect the blade when going to another tomato vine to assure no infectious disease is transferred but I never have done it and plants were fine after cutting.

Don't pull.  Gently twist them while holding the vine.

3 things............hold the vine.........pull and twist......really if they are ready , they should come off quite easily. all the best

Either twist the fruit until it comes off or use a sharp knife.
