How do you push a motorcycle?

I'd like to sit out on my back porch but there is a big ugly Honda motorcycle sitting right in my way (it belongs to my brother-in-law who is in Iraq). What do I need to do to push it out of my way? Put it in neutral or something?

  1. Yes, shift it into neutral, get a good grip on the handlebars, make sure you can use the brake to stop you when you move it, and go.  Don't drop it, go slow.  When you get there, put the kick stand down and put it back in gear.

  2. You said it's big and ugly so it must be a goldwing. Those aren't so easy to push. it's not like  bicycle where you just grab the bars and push. You will surely drop this bike and not be able to pick it up. Possibly drop it on yourself.

Find one of his riding buddies to come over and move it. You could go to the local biker hang out and get somebody to move it. We love our bikes and it would be tragic for you to mess it up because you don't like the way it looks.

Don't touch it. get someone who knows what they are doing to move it.

  3. sit on it, squeeze the hadle to your left, stant it upright, push with your legs...

once you get it where you want it, release the handle, andlean it to the left to put it back on the kickstand...

    simple

  4. Yes, put it in Neutral and carefully push it. Don't drop it, He deserves to come home to a good ride when He returns. FYI Neutral is 1 click up after You have the shifter all the way down which is First gear.

  5. Hold the clutch in and roll it out of the way. Will be a handle that looks like break.

  6. Have someone who knows how do it for you.  My sister tried to move her boyfriends cycle dropped it on her ankle and landed herself in the Emergency room.

  7. Well..you just uh, push it.

That's about all there is to it.

  8. Put it in neutral and push it out of you was.

  9. its easy to drop a motorcycle, be caeful as not only could it damage the bike, but if its a large bike, it could crush you. A 1100 cruiser weighs about 600 lbs. just a thought before you try...............

  10. get on it but keep your feet on the ground. the clutch is the lever on the left side of the handle bars. make sure u have control of the bike and u wont drop it. the little lever on the left side wehre u put ur feet is the shifter. hold the clutch, shift down all the way, and let out the clutch. if it doesnt roll when u push it, shift up one. that should be neutral. if not u can always just try to walk it with the clutch pulled in. whatevers easier. just make sure you wont drop it, resulting in serious damage to the bike, or maybe yourself if ur under it

  11. Pull in the clutch handle. It's the one on the left (as you're sitting on it) handlebar. Then you can push it. But be aware - big = heavy. If it starts to tip over, you're probably going to have to explain how it got scratched, cause you won't be able to hold it up once it starts to go...
