Question:

How do you push yourself to the edge eventhough it hurts?

I do crew and everytime i do a 2K, I feel like I can break 7:50 but I feel hopless when pain starts to build up. There is also pressure from the people erging beside me and it builds butterflies into my stomach. Can u give some advice to over come this?

  1. when it comes to pain, it is all about will power. whoever wants it more plays a big factor. you could also use your teammates pushing. you ignore the pain if your determined enough. although i never done crew, i can imagine "switching off" is of use. basically that is you turn off your brain and you become robotic. thinking about something that really gets me pissed helps me to get into that mood.


  2. From experience erging, if the pain starts building up, row harder. It sounds ridiculous, but the erg piece will be over sooner and you will feel more accomplished when you get a better score.
