Question:

How do you put a barcoo bridle together?

at the riding school i ride at we mainly have barcoo bridles(bridles without a nose band)recently i have had to put one back together it took me about 20 minutes to half an hour to do it

could some one please explain how to do it so next time i have to do one it doesnt take me forever to do it!

    So easy.  Study the diagram of the bridle and name each piece.  Identify which piece goes where and think about your horses head and what goes where.  Close your eyes and picture the bridle on your horse.  

    Once you can identify each part of the bridle, think about how it will look when you are done.  I know this bridle has some parts you will not have but the main parts are the same.  You will have the headstall, the brow band, the bit and so on.  Just picture the bridle as it is on your horse.  Now, if you are sitll confused, take your bridle when it is in one correct piece and lable each piece in a way that you will remember it.  I like to do the bridle in pieces, like attach the bit to the head stall, place the throatlatch and brow band... Make a mental image in your head.  EASY

    The most common bridle in the Australian Outback. Our barcoo has an adjustment buckle on the poll band, as well as both cheek pieces. Adjusts thru many different head shapes. Sizes Full, or Cobb, colors black or brown.
