How do you put a lawn mower wheel on?

This is for a push mower, not a riding mower. Something about the threads being different? Anyway, help please.

  1. If they are threaded onto the axle, then it would make sense that the left-hand wheel would have a left-hand thread, as pushing the mower forward would tend to tighten the wheel onto the axle.   If it were a right-hand thread, pushing the mower could result in the left-hand wheel unscrewing from the axle.

  2. First thing to do is to remove the wire from the spark plug.  Better safe than sorry.  Some wheels have a bolt that goes all the way through the housing and a nut to go on the other side.  You'll just have to see what kind of situation you have, and look at the other answers you get.  Good luck.
