How do you put a video on your yahoo! 360?

You can't post one to watch anywhere on the 360 except in your blog with the html option. You can get a stream in link and place that in your blast..

I told you all that to make sure you understand that the only place on the Yahoo 360 pages you have to use.. the only one that will put a video into those pages is your blog.. Only thing can be placed anywhere else is text for your profile.. In your messages.. we used to have the html option to use there.. but it has stopped working recently..

Okay.. to put a video from YouTube.com or from one of the other hosting sites for streaming in images and music to your blog you need to understand the HTML option you have to use to make this happen..

Yahoo does not let us upload any images, graphics, music or videos directly to the Yahoo site.. they do not have the storage capacity to do this they say.

So you have to get an outside hosting site to use that will give you the html code for your chosen video or photo into your blog. If you wish to place an mp3 player into your blog .. the same thing applies there also..

I will use YouTube for an example for the video question you have..

Go to the YouTube site and find the video you wish to use.. on the page close to the video are some codes you need to use.. they are html codes..

highlight and copy the html code from the YouTube video page and go back to your 360 and open up a compose blog page..

Put some text into the blank composer.. any thing will do .. doesn't have to spell anything.. but is critical to making this work.. gotta have some kind of text in there ..

On top of the composer is a box and the words HTML SOURCE.. put check into the box.. and the composer changes and where the text is at will look funny with added letters and symbols.. ignore it.. now you paste the code you have copied of the video into the composer.. now uncheck the HTML SOURCE checkbox..

You probably will not see a video in the composer.. why I don't know.. but that is the way it works.. but you can click onto the Preview option that is beside the post option under the composer and when the preview page comes up .. your video should be there to see.. if it is..

click the edit option under the preview and take it back to the composer and delete the text you placed in the composer and finish you blog.. then post it..

use these instructions:

Step 1. Copy the code from the embed box.



Step 2. On your Yahoo! 360° home page, click on the “My Blog” link (on the top menu of the page).

Step 3. On your blog page, click on the “Compose Blog Entry” link (on the top of the page just below the main menu).



Step 4. Check the “View HTML Source” check box and Paste the code into the “Entry Content” section where you want the Video or Graphic to appear (Right-click in the box and choose “Paste”, or just hit Ctrl-V). Click the “Post This Entry” button and you are done!

its easy! all u haft to do is type in the qustion box "how do you put a viedio on yahoo" and you will come on this page and it will say "browser" clik it and put a iedio on and then save it (the save button is on the corner of the page)
