  1. Heat up a paper clip or safety pin using a flame.  Use that to melt the plastic.  Repeat as necessary.

    WARNING: the metal object will get hot.  Leave yourself enough distance between the heated tip and your finger so that you don't burn yourself.  This suggestion is the "stupid guy way" to do it, so do it at your own risk.  This is just how I'd do it.
