How do you put an unassembled bike together?

I got a bike last night,unassembled, and I need help putting it together. Are there any special tools you need. The handle bar wont stick to the bike. help me!! Thanks. <3

dont take offense at this, but if you don&#039;t know the tools required, then you probably don&#039;t know how to correctly assemble the bike. You should have it done at a bike shop so you can be sure it is sound.

The handlebars usually require an Allen key but given that it&#039;s a safety issue I would suggest that you find someone who is experienced at putting bikes together.

I would suggest taking it to your local bike shop. If you bought it from a bike shop, they probably should have put it together for you.

Your other option is to find someone that knows how to put a bike together and to have him/her help you do it so you can learn how to do it your self.

Bikes usually come with assembly instructions, don&#039;t they? It should say the parts included and tools needed. If it didn&#039;t come with it, then look up the model online with assembly instructions. And if that doesn&#039;t work look in the yellow pages or online to find a bike shop which might be able to put it together for you. Also, glad my advice helped get your bike home.

If you have no idea how to assemble a bike, please don&#039;t take internet advice on how to do it.  Have someone that knows show you, then you will know.

There is too much risk of injury to potentially do it wrong. (i.e. wheels fall off, brakes don&#039;t actuate, handlebars move, ugh/).

If you bought a toy store bike, it came with toy store bike instructions.  Follow them to a &quot;T&quot;.

I think I seen a new bike assembly instruction made for Schwinn bikes somewhere.
