I've never done it before and I've tried and tried but the stupid thing won't go in. I am totally unsqueamish about my eyes, so have no problem touching my eye etc. They are very soft thin floppy ones.

  1. Put the lens on the end of your index finger, hold your upper eyelid up with your middle finger of the  other hand and your lower eyelid down with the middle finger of the hand with the lens on it.  Then put the lens in.  Look directly at the lens as you put it in and place it right in the middle of your eye.  Your problem will be that your eyelashes are getting in the way, make sure you hold them well away from you eye.  It's simple once you get the hang of it!

  2. Get someone else to help you, I couldn't get mine in by myself if my life depended on it!

  3. You first make sure that the contact lense is the right way round you can tell this by making sure the number on the contact or a symbol it is the right way up it can be seen by putting the lense towards the light. If it does not have one then just make sure it makes a perfect concave shape on the flat parm of your hand.

To put them in make sure they are not to wet as they will stick to your finger as you put them in.

We shall start with your left eye. straighten your left index finger and use it to brush your eyelashes up to open your eyelid. while holding your eyelid open pop the contact on your right index finger making sure it is on the tip of the finger.

Once your have done the use your right middle finger to pull down the bottom lid slightly gently put the contact into your eye not directly onto the pupil but just off from it.

Then with your eyelids still help open look towards the contact in your eye it will then bond to your pupil blink your eye and youre done. Repeat on the right eye swapping your hands round :)

  4. hold your upper lid and lower lid with your thumb and index finger then use the index finger on the other hand to place it in your eye, i had that problem long ago haha =]

  5. Hi Bambi ,  Well here goes and read all of it please.

Properly care for your contact lenses every time you take them out and leave them in the case for an extended amount of time.

Wash your hands thoroughly. Use a clean towel to dry your hands- a kleenex or toilet paper may leave pieces behind. Make sure there is no soap on your hands.

Remove a contact from its case. Remember to check whether it is for your right or left eye.

Place the contact on your index finger of the hand you will be applying the contact with. You should probably use your dominant hand. Make sure that all the outside edges are face up and none are sticking to your finger. If the rim points out slightly instead of up, the lens is probably inside-out.

Use the index finger of your opposite hand to pull up your upper eyelid. Use the middle finger of your dominant hand with the contact on it to pull your lower eyelid down. Until you become experienced continue using this method, but eventually you will be able to do this by only pulling down your lower eyelid.

Keep your eye open and try not to blink.Move the contact towards your eye calmly and steadily. It may help to look upwards. Try not to blink or move jerkily. Place the contact on your eye and gently move it so it is centered over your iris (circular, colored part of the eye). Make sure to let go of the bottom first! Letting go of the top first can sometimes lead to leaving tiny air bubbles against your eye which may sometimes hurt!

Blink slowly, as to not dislodge the contact. Take note of any pain or discomfort you may have. If you think that something may be wrong with your contact, remove and fully cleanse it, then try again.

    Repeat with the other contact.

Pour contact solution from the case into the sink and close the contact case.

[edit] TipsPut in your contact lenses before applying makeup to avoid contaminating your contact lens. When removing your makeup be sure that you wash and dry your hands. Once you have done this, remove your contact lenses and then remove your makeup.

You may get frustrated if you don't get the contact in right away. Just wait a couple minutes and give it another try! It is easier to get the second contact in.

If the contact falls out of your eye rinse it off completely with contact solution every time. Bending over the sink is a good idea because you can find a contact if you drop it. Just make sure to close up the drain first. A good, clean mirror is also useful especially if it has magnification.

It'll be easier to put on a contact if you attempt to do it with your optometrist or ophthalmologist first. Usually it is a requirement, but if not, suggest it. If you think that the contact does not fit your eye, talk to your doctor. He or she can probably order you another brand or type of contact. Remember that you will need to regularly get your eyes checked so your prescription can be updated.

If you're new to contacts, only wear them a few hours a day. Make sure to take them out immediately after work or school so as to give your eyes a rest. If your eyes feel dry during the day put 1-2 eye drops in- more than this could make it slide out of your eye.

Exposing your eyes to shower water, lake water, pool water, or smoke may irritate them. For short periods of time you can simply close your eyes, for longer periods wear your glasses or goggles.

If you find it difficult insert a lens without blinking, you can practice by putting a drop of solution on your finger, aiming for the white of your eye, and gently touching it.

Wait until your eyes get accustomed to the light in the morning before putting the contacts in. You also may want to wash off any dried mucus near your eyes.

You may find it easier to see where you're putting your finger, if you look at the reflection of the contact on your finger on your eye.

    Any the wiser ?

    Good luck.

  6. I get the contact on the index finger of my right hand.  Then I take the index finger of my left hand and hold up my eyelid with my eyelashes.  (Does that make sense? Like I hold my eyelashes up out of the way)  Then I lay the contact on my eyeball.  It should sort of form a suction and stick without peeling it off your finger or anything.

I do it the exact same way for both eyes.  I'm right handed and that might make some difference.  I take them out basically the same way, holding my eyelashes up and pulling up my eyelid with the index finger of my left hand while plucking the contact out with the index finger and thumb of my right hand.
