i use mascara to color the roots darker. it works better, because it makes your eyes pop more... and its easier to put on. just dont squint.... with it on...

If you use liquid liner, just drag the brush across the roots of your lashes, it will put the eyeliner on the lid all by itself, it's so easy.

Well there are several methods of getting a good line of eyeliner close to the lashes.

One Method: Tilt your head back and pull your lid slightly towards the edge of your head. You might need to put a couple layers of liner on if you are using pencil.

Second Method: Use Liquid Liner. If that's difficult for you, then use a felt tip liner. I use them and they are just Faboo! You can get way closer than a pencil since the tip is so small and precise. It's just harder to take off.

Third Method: Use a really well sharpened pencil and instead of trying to make one broad line, make your own mini lashes that almost mix into your natural eyelashes. So basically just make little darts near the lashline until you get a 'line.' If you shape the darts correctly it will morph into a perfect 'line' near your lashes.

Remember, you can use more than one liner, so you can use a thicker liner for your taste and then a thinner liner to try and get close to the roots.

Draw on top of your eyelashes..

put half of the liner brush or pencil, on your lids and the other on your lashes..this way it comes out really close and you have a perfect lash line!

using a liquid eyeliner is the best for that.

But instead of using the brush that comes with it u should use an angled brush, maybelline makes one.

just stay really close to your lashes, and the angled brush will help better with that.
