  1. Right, import the audio, which I'm assumming you have done if you've tried dragging it and wouldn't go. If you haven't the only acceptable formats for Windows Movie Maker is .wav, .wmv, .asx , .wm, .mp3 and .m3u

If you have a CD than you can also save the tracks to the computer and then import.

If your audio does not match any of these formats you can convert the file from means of www.media-converter.org

Once you have it imported you should have it on your task panel of all the pics, videos, and audio files that you have imported into there. The way to get it to your movie is to make sure that your bottom track should be on timeline NOT storyboard. Then just drag the track from the panel to the audio timeline on the track.

  2. First you need to import the Audio.

You should find Import, and under it "Audio or Music".

Make sure you have your timeline showing, not storyboard.  You can swap between these by clicking on the little drop down arrow, located barely above the bottom left corner of your screen.  Top-Left of your timeline or storyboard.

You can also go to the "View" menu at the top of your screen and click 'Timeline'.

It should show Audio/Music in the timeline. Drag the Audio or Music into that part of the timeline, and you should be good.

Otherwise, right-click on your audio or music and click 'Add to Timeline'.

    Hope this helps :).

  3. On the left hand side, look for, Import Audio, then just select it.

If that doesn't work, make sure the audio is in mp3, or wma format. If not, try converting the audio to one of those types.
