How do you put music on uploaded home videos?

I'm making a music video for my new CD, but how do you put music on the video? I've seen others do it, but I don't know how. Any help?

Most video editing software programs will have a feature such that you can add a audio/sound track.  For example, here's how it's done using Microsoft Windows Movie Maker:
