  1. What i use when i do a smokey eye is i use a lighter shade of brown and a little darker one or you can do the same with colors. i put the light color on my eyelid below the bone and then accent it using the darker on the far outside on the bone. Hope this helps!

  2. The important thing to remember is 'less is more'

Generally, the darker and bigger your eyes, the more eye make-up you can pull off. If you have blue or green eyes (like me) then black usually looks too harsh.

When i do a smoky eye, i don't use eyeliner at all on the inside (as it makes your eyes look smaller) and i rarely use it on my lids as it pulls your eyes and its hard to smudge evenly. Use a eyeshadow/liner BRUSH (not a sponge) and try and keep the eyeshadow close to your lashline. I never use black, especially not a matte black as it rarely looks flattering. Instead i use either a dark grey or dull brown as its much more subtle and classy. I have a great metallic grey one by benefit called 'skinny jean'. It's the perfect texture for smudging and it stays on all night! I think it was about £15 so its not horrendous considering its such a good product!

Also, a good tip is to not put any/much under your eyes as this looks weird unless you get it perfect. Instead, just sweep a *tiny* bit underneath from the outer corner and leave it at that!

    Don't forget tonnes of mascara!

  4. This is kind of hard to explain instead of physically showing you, but I'm going to try.....ok...what I do is I use liquid (pearl-colored) eyeshadow on my lid and the part right below the eyebrows, (after I put on my eyeliner of course), then I use a half-inch eyeshadow brush and then use smokey black or charcoal and lightly brush it into the outside corner of your eyelid (over the other eyeshadow). I usually like the outcome when I do this for myself.  Hope it works for you!

  5. i think it's the eye shadow that makes that smoky look its not so much how you put it on thats what i think. buy a smoky looking eye shadow.

  6. Well first you put all dark color for eye shadow. then you put for in the same spot then a bit of white color on the edge of you eye and mix it with your dark color eye shadow. put some dark eye liner and BAM you're good. :D
