Question:

How do you put together a cheap but nice yearbook?

I am the yearbook advisor at my middle school and I want to know what is a good way to put together an in-house yearbook. We are not interested in anything fancy where we would have to do fundraisers, but we want something nice and simple. These are not books that we will sell. Any suggestions?

  1. Once you have your yearbook in digital form talk to local print shops and see what kind of a deal they can give you on printing.  If you do everything in Adobe you could even make the yearbook in a pdf. file and give it to the students digitally.  They can then print it from home if you do nor have the money to print it at school.

  2. a digital camera, a good program like pagemaker and a good printer

the only other thing you need is a little imagination.

It doesn't just have to be photos --

a little bit about each person

or add votes, person votes most likely to.........

use your imagination, but be nice

Person most likely to be a billionaire by 30

Person most likely to star in their own TV show

Person most likely to  be first a marathon

You get the idea -- do a few silly ones too, try not to be nasty

Remember year books are supposed to be happy memories.
