  1. You need a converter to help you, because most of movies/videos formats are not play on Zune directly.  I downloaded Cucusoft Zune Video Converter Suite to help me at http://www.dvdipodsoft.com/zune-video-co...

This software can convert DVD's and videos to zune directly. It's fast, easy and very wonderful. I think it is a good choose. You can download it to help you too.

Here is a free trial link

  2. You video got on the Zune because it was in the correct format already and in a folder that Zune is monitoring for videos. Find a converter that will convert your videos to wmv. Save the converted files in whatever folder you have Zune monitoring for videos. Unless you changed the monitored folders your Zune program is probably monitoring My Videos for all compatible movies and videos.

  3. You can try Cucusoft Zune Video Converter Suite, this software can rip protected DVD movie and convert all popular video formats to Zune. I always use it to put my videos on Zune, very easy to use and works great for me. You can download this software free from here:

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of zune converter suite give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product. You can search which one you like best. Here is the link:

Some other useful information you can get on the official site:

  4. You need a dvd video converter.

    Get it at totosoft.net

Cucusoft Ultimate Converter Suite converts all the media file to play on almost any portable device including iPod, iPod touch, iPod video nano, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, and Pocket P.C., etc.  Meanwhile, it can also support output almost any audio/video format including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio format(AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.).

  5. files need to be .wmv (a few other formats are supported)

a free program that works well is any video converter.  Search cnet downloads to find it

    www.cnet.com

  6. Zune reads mp4, wmv, if your videos are mp4,wmv, just follow below steps to add video on zune

Run Zune software, connect your Zune device to computer via USB cable, then the Zune software will detect your Zune player. Drag the converted video to Zune software and click “Start to sync”, then your video will be transferred to Zune.

If your video is not compatible with zune, you need the third party software to convert it, I always use aimersoft zune convertr suite, it can easily convert dvd video to zune with high quality, that's really nice, you can check it out here for free:
