How do you "cover your books" ?

My teacher told me to cover my books... I don't know how to do that... @ my old school you didn't "cover books" ? ! ? Thnx !

Well, there are a couple of options. If they didn't give you these big pieces of paper that you can fold over your books, your best option would be to go out and buy some elastic book covers. They just fit right over the cover of the book, and protect it from getting scratched and dirty. They should be with the rest of the school supplies.
