Question:

How do you quote something switching between characters?

im writing an essay and im taking this quote from a book....but i forget how to properly quote something that is a line from one character and then back to another character and back and forth quite a bit..

  2. Any method that specifies who is saying what works.

    You might specify the character e.g.:

    Henry:  "Who will rid me of that meddleson priest?"

    We know that Henry says this.

    If there are only two characters, it is often sufficient to place the quotes of one in a different type font ( or italics or caps ) to distinguish one from another.
