  1. I don't go to the rink all the time, but I do go to a rollerblading rink. lessons and practice is very important at the rink, but sometimes my rink is not always open for free skate. So I go roller blading. Some things you do in ice skating you should not be afraid to do rollerblading, but that is barely any. You get better and better an learn different techniques. I love to go to the rink and listen to the music they play and just think of jumps that go to the beat. I really enjoy skating! But I am not that intersted in the olympics.

  2. For me, raising my coordination was one of the reasons I started skating.

The basics are really important.  I practice doing 3-turns and brackets, power pulls, crossovers and progressives.  As you get more advanced, you can add Choctaws to that.  These things are all learned fairly early and do a great deal to improve coordination.

In addition, I often find myself standing on one foot in a spin position while on "dry land."  That improves my spins because I'm more used to being in that position.

  3. I have been ice skating for 3 years and I think that  practicing balancing on land and just getting to the rink as often as possible. Good luck!

  4. pratice, make sure your ice skates have good anckle support... that might be your problem.
