Question:

How do you read Mexico time?

I'm looking at the Mexicana Airline website to book flights for a trip and I'm having trouble reading the times on the flights.

Is it the same as military time? If so... I've never been good at military time...

One of the times says 00:25. What the heck does that mean?

13:20. Is that 1:20 pm?

17:45. Is that 5:45 pm?

I'm just not getting the whole 00:25 thing.

  1. It's military time, most of the world uses it.

A way to look at it is 00:XX mean 12am 01 is 1am and so one, and then when you get to 1300 thats 1pm. So 1 is 2 less than 3. 2pm is 1400. 2 is 2 less than 4. You can pretty much do that all the way.

    15-2= 3pm

    16-2= 4pm

    17-2= 5pm

    ...

    20-2= 8pm

    ...

    22-2= 10pm

  2. 13:20. Is that 1:20 pm?--yes

    17:45. Is that 5:45 pm?--yes

I'm just not getting the whole 00:25 thing.--midnight is 00:00, so  00:25 is twenty-five minutes after midnight.

    pretty simple.

  3. Mexico doesn't actually use that time, they use a 12 hour clock like we do in the states. You shouldn't run into any trouble while in Mexico.

Usually there are time converters online that can help "translate" military time into 12-hour times
