How do you really identify the personality of someone by his/her handwriting?

I heard that a lot of professors can do this, knowing someone's personality by his/her handwriting? how do you do this?

can you teach how? thanks. i've been really fascinated by it.

Handwriting Analysis not only reveals what you are and what you might have been, but also clues you as to what you might still become.

It eliminates employing people in positions for which they are not suited, and is used to place the right person in the right job

It does reflect personality, it involves slant,strokes,zones, letter formations, etc.. for example one can get an idea of another persons self confidence just by looking at the letter 't' , you can see

Good question. The answer is: You really can't.

It's the same concept as Horoscopes. How can someone identify another person's personality based on the month they were born in?

The two of them largely base their conclusions on cold reading. Cold reading is the act of telling someone something about themself that is usually true for most of the population.

For example: "Your letters are wide and round. This applies to your beliefs. You are a deep person with significant opinions about the world around you."

Most people will believe this because:

1. It is a compliment (People are less likely to reject a compliment as opposed to criticism)

2. It is true for 99.9% of the population. Almost everybody on this planet believes that THEIR opinion is the most important and significant.

There is an argument though. Some people believe that, you CANT tell complex personality traits about someone by reading their handwriting (introverted, extroverted, etc..). but you CAN figure out certain basic facts. If someone writes extremely neatly, they may be a perfectionist. If they write messy, they are assumed to be unorganized. Personally I don't even believe this is true; I know plenty people who write messy but keep their apartments very organized.

Horoscopes and handrwiting interpretation are believable because people tell you things about yourself you already know, or are likely to accept because it boosts your ego, or some other reason. Just remember, there is no scientific, factual basis for either horoscopes or handwriting interpretation.

Yes you can: Ive done some analyzing myself with handwriting and this is what I've notice.

People who writes really big is unorganize and has a lot of irrational thinking going on.

People who writes really sloppy, is extremely smart however they are very sloppy as well. A lot of doctors fits this description and is why they need maids :-). Then you have to look at the way they write to add more characters to these people.

People who writes very small is sneaky, many of them...again you have to look at the way they write.
