How do you really promote a blog??

A started my first blog http://www.itsmyopinion.net/ less than a week ago and I know that i have to be patient becuase people are not going to be automatically interested in it. But i do want to know what approach i should take to make sure that it could at least reach it's full potential.

I just started  mine also bout 2 wks ago and have over 2,000 visit it!:)

What I did was go to your lists, and find people that like the same music as you or  just type in one word and many peoples blog's will show up.

Go to their blogs and say hi, or wink or something, and they'll be curious who you are and check out your blog! then after after a few days or so whoever visits, you can check out the'yre blogs too  as long as they comment. Then find other blogs thru them and comment on there's > kinda like a chain.

go to one leave a comment, they come to you and you go to the'yre page and go to all their friends pages and say hi. don't worry they'll come I promise. sorry if I totally cunfused you.:) lol.
