  1. Conact your local catholic church.

They may have a trip being organised.

    Or just go yourself.

Contact the toursist office in Lourdes.

  2. ya have to give the pope a bj

  3. you dont need a nomimantion just go to your local chapel they always have notice up about pilgrims to lourdes.

  4. I lived there for 6 years and so I will begin working for a touroperator who does trips there. You can book it the same way as a holiday but you will pay alot. Usually only people who are very ill get sponsorship or get people to fundraise to send them there. Many flights are charters so they arrive very late at night or early morning. You could travel overland by train if you wanted or you could get flight only and book into a small basic hotel when you get there to cut back on the expense. To go for 5 nights to a 3 star hotel, fully inclusive it costs about €600 which is probably about £400 or so.

  5. If you go to your local church and ask they usually start having them about this time I think they do it through St Bernadette's Trust I have never been only I do talk about going I know people who have gone catholics and non catholics and have never heard anything bad all good and a wonderful feeling of peace that you have while there. Was thinking of going this year only may leave it till next for my 50th birthday. I was born in the centenary year of Our Lady appearing to St Bernadette hence my name so then it will be 150 years so it would be nice to go then. Hope you go and good luck.

  6. If you are hoping to go for free you would have to be sufficiently ill or disabled for a charity or church to take you, otherwise pay and go your self, there is nothing to stop you.

Don't forget, parishioners have donated to the scheme so naturally it's own church goers get first chance.

  7. i went years ago.  most profound experience of my life.  i went through the catholic church (i am not catholic though).  they used to run one every year.  i had to pay for it myself but we got discounts cos they went every year.  check with the catholic churches in your area.
