  1. You can't. They are polar-opposite. Some people try to reconcile, but they commit the fallacy of compromise.

I like the fact that you called them "creation" and "evolution." Many evolutionists like to say "creationism" (meaning philosophy) vs. "evolution" (meaning concept). They always make it look like religion vs. science when it is really just competing philosophies.

  2. A university degree encompassing both actually. I balanced my studies with both religion as well as science. It turned me into a total Atheist, but I at least gave it a try.

  3. By recognizing that gaining a small understanding of the process the Creator used in no way eliminates the role of the Creator.

The problem is both sides of this debate are still crazy. Scientists want us to believe that life and consciousness magically arose from matter as some sort of accident. Religion wants us to believe that Genesis is a literal description of the physical creation of the world.

Both of these models have been proven wrong. Anyone with a modicum of logic and critical thinking can see this.

In the beginning there was God. God was all there was and there was nothing that was NOT God. God was infinite, so by definition nothing could exist outside of God. God was not a white haired man in the clouds, but an infinite field of consciousness energy.

God was fully aware of every aspect of His/Her own Divinity. But being All there was God could not experience every aspect of God. Consider - if you want to explore that aspect of Divinity within you called "forgiveness" you must have someone other than you who has done something for you to forgive.

So desiring the only thing an infinite God could, experiential understanding of Itself, God modified the vibratory rates of God so that energy would condense into matter. God then divided God's consciousness into an infinite number of individuations, granting each the gift of the illusion of identity and separateness so that all God individuations would perceive themselves as individuals and be able to interact with each other and experience all that they choose.

The physical laws were born, energy condensed into matter, matter formed stars and planets, life evolved under intelligent guidance for the purpose of providing hosts suitable for the evolving God consciousnesses. And here we are, experiencing the roller-coaster ride of life in the physical. All with the purpose of learning to Love each other just as God Love's each of us, on our way back to remembering that separation was just an illusion and in fact we are All One.

Easy enough when you're not bogged down by the baggage of pre-conceived notions that you try to force reality to conform to.

  4. Creation has evidence, evolution none, adaptation has proof. Time as measured in earth increments didnt begin until the 4th day - God's creation days could b anything, not specified in the Bible (even if a writer thought it was an earth day). God doesnt compromise the truth so no reconciling can take place. The big bang singularity couldnt react 2 anything even itself - so no bb without God 2 cause it.

Some scientific finds r true but it doesnt mean "all" claims by Scientists/others r true (many dont take time & energy 2 carefully think thru things b4 coming out 4 or against it). Many dont properly take in2 account all it takes 2 create a universe/life (they tend 2 focus on things "seeming" 2 support what they want 2 &/or u 2 believe).

In science we established laws of physics. We can't see actual laws of physics. Rather, we see the results & interpret & apply them in accordance with whats been observed 2 be true thru experiments/calculations. Same is true regarding God. Just b/c we can't see God doesn't mean He doesnt exist.

There may be forensic evidence 4 micro-adaptation & 4 some "appearance" of macro-evolution but most is inconclusive @ best & pure conjecture @ worst. Finding the beginning & reason 4 it all is unattainable by scientific method alone (a billions of years old cold case). We didnt see it take place.

But things in creation show an Intelligent Being was involved or the universe & we wouldnt b here (ignoring where it came from). Standing out r:

    1. We have 2 lungs & 2 kidneys - each has a near perfect mirror-image companion organ. No matter how u try 2 explain it away, making a mirror-image organ takes full reverse engineering, knowledge & understanding of its companion's functions & purpose or it cant be created.

    2. Our bodies r highly symmetrical from 1 side 2 the other. Its impossible unless 1 has an outside overview position allowing full comprehension of the entire organism (i.e. feather color patterns).

    3. We have 2 arms & 2 legs. Each is perfectly designed & precisely engineered 2 work with its mirror-image companion. An outside position is required 2 fully comprehend the whole organism & purpose 4 all parts, 2 create it 2 such perfection.

    4. The "being" of a cell is confined 2 within the cell membrane & cant know or b aware of much beyond itself. A cell is magnitudes more intelligent than all humanity & has amazing powers 2 know all of an organism's functions & purpose or it isnt the "brain" behind creation 4 many millions of incredibly diverse species. If evolution had a chance of being the source of creation it would require there only be 2 or 3 "kinds" of different bodies with several related species (it would take many billions of trillions of light years longer than the universe has existed 2 have the slightest chance of producing many millions of species of such incredible diversity)

    5. Many cells of an organism never contact others much beyond its tiny cell. Mostly, cells & organisms r just copies of their parents doing about the same things as all ancestors. U wont find a bird whom builds a better nest than their parents & their chicks build even a better nest. U wont find a bear improving his living conditions (or passing them 2 his young). Either a cell has 2 lives - 1 copying their parents & 1 secret life working on improvements or someone of greater intelligence than all mankind created everything.

    6. Others point 2 DNA (or RNA in the 1rst organisms). But a cell needs DNA 2 function & DNA cant function without a cell. So, we have a which came 1rst a cell or DNA problem. Without 1rst having great intelligence, full knowledge & understanding of how an organism is constructed it cant be created. If an ape finds a combination lock he wouldnt know what it was & even if he turns the dial over & over again he wouldnt know what he was doing & the chances against getting it right is astronimical - especially if it had 150 or more no. 2 find in the right order & even if he got that far he still wouldnt know what a lock is 4.

A cell has little "inteligence" & DNA is much more complex than a combination lock (especially in higher life forms) so the odds against figuring out & using DNA (in the correct sequence) is many magnitudes higher than 4 a lock). RNA/DNA r building blocks common to all life - having 98% of other species' DNA doesnt prove evolution. DNA like a computer code (but more complex) requires great intelligence 2 identify & assign its proper order - its useless unless u understand it. Give a book to an ape. Its useless to him as he cant learn from whats written - intelligence is required.

    7. In the fossil record we dont find millions of trial & error organisms that should exist if natural selection or fittest survivor is the source of creation (no organisms existed be4). The odds r so great against near perfection happenning 4 many millions of greatly diverse species, it couldnt take place unless 1 had full knowledge & understanding of what theyre doing BEFORE millions of organisms could be created 2 such precision. If not true millions of misfit organisms with mistakes, having only 1 or 3 eyes in odd places, 1 leg growing out of a head or where an arm should be or a fin where a leg should be should exist. Millions more misfit fossils should exist than of the perfection found in nature.

    8. U won't find species like a horse mating a goat, a frog mating fish, a rabbit mating an otter, a lizzard mating a bird, a cow mating a hog, etc. Species with similar genes/characteristics rarely mate in the wild. Only a few succeed @ bearing young. Its very rare that a wild crossbreed/hybrid reaches maturity or can bear over 1 litter (usually that litter cant produce or has complications that kills off the crossbreed). Only human intervention brings more success but even that has lead 2 some bad results.

    9. Evolution processes being "the" source of all creation would be like having a blind man build a car he's never heard of, seen, touched, heard or rode in. It cant be done without 1rst teaching him about the functions, necessary parts & how 2 put it all together so the car will function.

    10. Look @ the huge amount of intelligence, knowledge, understanding, time & energy used 2 create & constantly improve an airplane's capabilities (& many mistakes). If people didnt fully learn what 2 do we'd still be earthbound.

    11. Creation is astronomically more complex than any airplane. The more complex an organism, the greater the amount of intelligence, knowledge & understanding needed 2 create it. It can only be done by an Intelligent Designer who already fully understands what He's doing - the sheer complexity of man is evidence of God (airplanes show we're created in God's image - God had 2 be the source of all creation or it couldnt exist let alone evolve).

    12. An incredibly Intelligent Being, capable of building a universe, would know the environment His earthly organisms are 2 occupy. So, He built in adaptability so His organisms could survive various earthly environments.

    13. Earth happens to be in the best possible orbit 2 support life. It has the right amount of gravity, the right axis & rotation speed, the right atmosphere & needed amount of water. The moon's the right size & in the right orbit 2 provide tidal cycles needed by organisms. Just 1 or 2 relatively small variants in our orbit/envirnment & most likely life would be very different & higher forms of life wouldve died off in a relatively short time, if they couldve survived.

So, believing evolution's "the" cause of the universe & many millions of incredibly diverse species, takes a huge amount of faith (u must ignor the problems listed above). But if 1 is fair minded u might realize its more plausible that God designed, engineered & created everything.

Theres many religions, built on what man wants God 2 be like & most made many mistakes (many fatal). I realized they cant all be right (Theres 1 Bible - why so many interpretations? II Pet 1:**19-21). I found religion wont teach u much about God (they cant teach what they don't know). This doesnt mean God doesnt know what He's doing.

The main point many miss is Jesus Christ is the only 1 in history whom stated that He's "the" way, "the" truth & "the" life & no 1 gets 2 God except by Him (Jn 14:6; 5:39; 10:1,7; Acts 4:12) & is the only 1 whom came from God. Its fully true or theres no truth & cant be any God (He knows what He's doing or He's not God).

Since Jesus is the only way 2 know God, it means "the" whole truth was complete & finished thru Jesus' teaching. So any claimed new teaching & any other religious beliefs or from self-proclaimed prophets & teachers r null & void & have no purpose 4 finding God. God always knew all Jesus was 2 speak & do.

In fact, Jesus couldnt have done nor said all He did unless He had full knowledge & understanding of the entire OT (the NT didnt exist in Jesus' time - the only way Jesus could've known the whole OT is if God's with Him) & the Apostles couldnt remember & write whats in the NT unless Jesus made them remember His purpose (Lk 24:25-27,45). Only an incredibly Intelligent Being could make it happen.

But God outsmarted man - the Bible is the only 1 that cant be properly understood without Jesus (Jn 14:6; II Cor 3:14 - If the Jewish people cant pierce the veil over the OT without Jesus then for sure all gentiles cant). Thats why theres many interpretations & many thinking its fairytales.

Whoever seeks Jesus with all his heart & soul will find our real God & His Kingdom (u shall know the truth & itll set u free). But, why should God want u 2 live with Him forever if u dont want 2 know Him (reason 4 free will - Jn 1:12-13)?

  5. All sciences need math. When it comes to time-based math, such as that used in dating materials, there needs be a constant on which to begin your calculations. If your constant varies, you will have skewed results and false conclusions. Most physical sciences are based on one presupposition. That is, that there is a constant on which to date back and measure change. There is much evidence that entropy and decay effects everything that is of matter and even energy. Science has proven that the universe had a beginning and is decaying over time and dark matter has only reinforced this consideration. Einstein proved that time is a physical property. Others have postulated that the speed of light is slowing down logarithmically. So what is your constant? On what can you base your math? There really is too many variants to be dogmatic in any of the materialistic sciences--let alone gamble your eternal soul on.

God is eternal and cannot be subject to testing and scrutiny. God designed it to be that way for the purpose of free will choice. To see which you desire to cling to for your personal doctrine of origin. The problem is, upon death you go from the physical to the eternal, and there, all that you concluded regarding science, will be of no value. Remember Esau and do not trade your destiny for a bowl of beans.

Science has no hope for what occurs after life ceases. It has nothing on which to observe or test. Once a person dies, and is dead for a day or two--science, in all its knowledge, cannot bring them back for discovery for what lies beyond.

Let the thumbs down begin from the evolution religion protectors.

  6. Creationism is all about not being able to explain how the HIV virus mutated into a form transmittable by humans and bird flu, and genetically altered plants, and a host of other events that resulting in a new biological entity developing.  It is all about discounting the science of establishing the age of things like rocks, or volcanic eruptions that create rocks, or rings on trees that lived longer than the creationism believers think anything on earth existed.  Or, your could redefine creationism to accomodate all of this.  That's the problem with creationism, its definition is whatever the believer wants to make it to support their belief system.

  7. Belief in a God and science to not have to be in conflict.  By me, God could have...and did...create the Big Bang, the evolutionary process, the physical laws of the universe, life on other planets, other dimensions and all that other good stuff.  Sometimes I find it hard to believe that we're still so hung up on this evolution thing, and those believers who insists that the Earth was created only 6,000 years ago really aren't helping.

  8. Obviously some don't or can't.  Others of us recognize that with the finite minds we now possess there are some things in this life that we will never fully know, understand or comprehend.  Personally I know that I do not know it all but my Father in Heaven does.  And one day, maybe not in this life - but one day I too will see the big picture which will include the balance and knowledge of just how things like the creation and evolution coexist - just as I believe science and spirituality also have an eternal balance.  We just don't know where those balances ARE right now.  And it is not necessary that I know, understand or comprehend ALL THINGS for me to have faith or believe.  Many can't feel that way and so they disregard faith all together.  That is everyones choices obviously - but it just seems to hollow and empty of an alternative to the scenario for my tastes.  I choose FAITH, hope, belief, and Christ.

  9. well a lot of people just see that god used the method of evolution to create everything.

  10. "there is nothing worthy the name of truth that is not universal"

That is all.  Here's how to end it.  Believe what you think is true.  for no one will ever be right, but no one is wrong if they truly believe.  The fact is the purpose is to believe in something.  Both these ideals exist because the average perosn can't find something to believe in all by their lonesome, so there are a few things out there for them to latch onto.

But hey, i have only seen the truth, been the truth and lived the truth.  which isn't what you or most anyone else thinks and it is terribly frightening/beautiful dependign on what day it is.

  11. I don't have to.  Creation is BS and evolution is real.

  12. It is impossible. Evolutionists, like myself, are able to at least say this- that if you can acknowledge that a supernatural being didnt sit up in the sky and bam! down homosapiens, flora, fauna and animals for 7 days then fine, have your faith in that supernatural being. But dont disrespect the wonders around us by saying that they just suddenly appeared. Lol, in 7 days. Too funny. No, it took millions and millions of years for things to turn into what we see around us.

But I very rarely ever run into a Creationist who can say that there is any other possibility outside of the supernatural bam! theory from a book that has been revised countless times and written thousands of years ago.

I think that you can mix the theory of evolution and faith together, but you do need to acknowledge that before archaeology and other scientific fields came about the people during bible times were simply unable to correctly identify the origin of their existence. Heck, you can even have your <ridiculous> creation story...if you can at least admit that since creation things evolved. Because they are evolving even as I write this very sentence.

Nature is a wonderful and amazing thing- experience it. Learn about it. Dont mock it or keep yourself from discovering the amazing wonders is has to offer you.

  13. Evidence points to evolution.  There is no evidence to support creation.

    No reconciliation necessary.

  14. God created evolution.

  15. If you try to make evolution fit in the Bible I'll bet anything that more of the bible will be cut out than evolution.

  16. Simple: evolution is factual, creationism is a children's story.

It's really no different from reconciling "Puss 'n Boots" with the real behavior of cats.

  17. God created the world in six days. Exodus 20:8-11

  18. John Calyton, a former Biology instructor who is a theistic evolutionist.  Has such information.  I disagree with him on theistic evolution, but he may answer your questions.

  19. creation is god, while evolution can be dabate. would you admit you ancestor is a monkey? please trust him, where we belong, and one day return to our father's house

  20. Reconciliation isn't necessary. Creation is an unsupported assertion and, as such, is not worthy of consideration.

  21. Don't take creationism literally(rather in context or the message not ever word for word)...You can still be a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist etc...and completely accept evolution...it does not have to be black and white...

  22. Who says you have to?  As long as you admit that God has a hand in it.  A mistake many people make is they think the Bible is a science Book, it is not it is the story of our salvation history

  23. You don't.  They are mutually exclusive.

  24. Theres no connection!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Personally, I believe we were created by a higher power (call it whatever you will) but not in the forms we have today.

  26. The particulars of the reconciliation of creationism and evolutionary theory is typically through the belief that god created the natural processes that govern then world and provide man with the divine spark which is what makes him different from the animals.  Most of the larger religious sects including the orthodox Jews, roman catholic church, eastern orthodox church, etc... all have stated there is no conflict between the theory of evolution and their religious beliefs.  I'm sure if you want to get in depth information you can peruse those avenues for additional information.

Remember there is a significant difference between evolution and the theory of the genesis of life too.

  27. I accept micro-evolutionary processing because we can observe it, it is testable and it is replicable.  I discard the origin theory of evolution because it is not.

  28. Very carefully.  If you discard the right pieces from both, you might be able to manage it.

  29. Which creation myth.

    Evolution is a fact.

    Deist

  30. In much the same way I would reconcile Santa Claus with gravity...

    One exists, one doesn't.

  31. My beliefs, being pantheistic in nature, are that Creator and Creation are the same thing. Why not a Universe that functions according to its laws, including those of stellar and planetary formation, and life that arises due to simple biochemistry? The Universe is a vast thing; and most people seem to have very small ideas regarding what the Creator is. If Creator and Universe are regarded as being the same thing, the debate between evolution theory and creationism becomes irrelevant.

Many Christians subscribe to the concept of moderate creationism, which simply holds that God created a universe with its laws, and life that is capable of evolving. Again, not a difficult concept; a good attempt at reconciling reason and faith.
