How do you record a dvd on to video cassette?

You have to use a bidirectional DVD/VCR Recorder like this one.  It copies from DVD to VHS and vice versa.  It has to be bidirectional though.  Some of the players PLAY VHS and DVD, but do not record from one to the other:

If you dont have a DVD/VCR recorder combo then

you would have to run  cables from the audio and

video out jacks of the DVD to the audio and video

in jacks of the VCR.  Then start the VCR recording

and then start the DVD playing.  I did it that way

before I got my combo setup.
