Like you know when you get hit in that spot on your stomach where it just knocks the breathe outta you and you cant breathe? What would we a good way to recover from that so you can get back into the fight quickly?

  1. I'm guessing you mean the solar plexus (right below where your ribs meet up). If memory serves me correctly, the best way to get the air back into your lungs after being winded is to laugh. It forces your diaphragm to pull air back in.

  2. Punch them 1st

  3. IF you are hit in a fight and you lose your wind you will just have to buy time to catch it. Work on techniques to distance yourself from your opponent in order to buy yourself time to catch that much needed breath.

For me, laughing hasn't come to mind, but I forcefully exhale after being winded to "jump start" my normal breathing rhythms.

It really is something that you need to experience over and over and figure a way to handle it that works best for you.

Avoidance is clearly a good strategy in the first place, but work on those distancing techniques to buy yourself time once you have been winded.

  4. "Float like a butterfly sting like a bee".Shuffle around and try not be a standing target. It's hard to hit a moving target.

  5. It's 100% impossible to recover right away from any kind of damage during a fight. If that was possible, I think no professional fighters would drop from a punch to the stomach or kicks to the leg. Better off toughening your abs rather than finding an easy way out(which does not exist).

  6. WHEN YOUR OUT OF BREATH....LDONT BREATH FOR TWO SECONDS...INHLAE RIGHT AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AS MUCK AIR AS YOU CAN...IF YOU CAN TAKE IT THEN GO LONGER....AFTER THAT EXHALE AND KEEP FIGHTING..

  7. Learn to absorb the hit in the first place. As it hits you, exhale sharply and move with it (back) to lessen the impact. Make sure that you don't stick your neck out as you absorb it or you'll get the next one in the nose. That'll avoid needing to recover.

  8. Stay out of the fight so you don't get hit there.

  9. Tighten up your gut and push with your breath in your lungs. Intestinal fortitude. You can return a little hunched in a lower horse style stance and it will take pressure off the center. Shin kicks might be more effective than punches.

  10. happens to me all the time:

      1) you CAN breathe, its just painful.

      2) start moving around your opponent in a circle, keep circling until you have your wind.

      3) If you're in a clinch, stay in the clinch and recover, just tie him up.

      4) I find jumping helps get my wind back, but only do this if you have some distance.
