How do you recycle?

Question

I don't have the slightest clue about how to recycle...I hear it's good to do, but where do you start? and what exactly can you recycle? what do you prevent from happening if you do recycle?

I walk around my neighborhood and pick up cans!  It is great exercize espeecially the bending down...  I realized we have alot of beer drinkers in our area!  So I say Drink UP!  I try to encourage people to save them for me instead of throwing them on the road or in the woods....

Start with finding out what is available to you in your community.  Your regular trash hauler may have a program (often times free) for recycling.  This is the easiest way to start.

By recycling, you help prevent unnecessary filling of our landfills, and help save resources.

dont know exactly where you live (us, uk?) but some of the easiest are: taking paper/newspapers/tin cans / soda/fizzy drink cans / glass bottles to your local bottle banks etc can usually find where recycling facilities are in yellow pages, directory books etc.

also getting a compost heap, recycle your kitchen waste, can do this just by putting it in a pile in a corner of your garden and covering with old carpet or something to keep the heat in

well there is a lot of different ways to recycle the one that helps the planet a lot is well first of all there is different categories of things to recycle i believe they are, plastic,paper,aluminium and i think there is one more but i don't know what. anyways basically all you have to do is sort these things into a recycling bin then the men will pick it up. another way to recycle things like oils and batteries is well there should be place somewhere in your town city whatever that takes them and recycles them. (you shouldn't put batteries in a normal recycling bin) anyways i hope that helped if not...tell me cuz im doing my speech on it so i know alot o.o

U start by splitting garbage depending on what is made of for example: glass, aluminum,paper these are the main ones but some countries have more criteria. U recycle because if u don,t the earth will be a big garbage dump, plus by recycling u save a lot of energy, material etc There are a lot of internet pages that say exactly what amount of energy, trees, etc u prevent to be  wasted or trees cut. If u don,t want to be an ignorant try reading that maybe it will open your eyes....

Well to recycle you have this one thing that looks like garbage can and like it's for recycling and then you put papers in there and other things that are made from trees.I always recycle!
