  1. If you have your operating system installation disc (mostly likely your Windows disc if you're asking this question), put it in your computer and restart it.  Then, when it's booting, you should see an option to enter setup.  You need to change your boot order in your CMOS settings to where it checks your CD-ROM drive first.  Then save your changes and exit.  Now the Windows disc should load and ask you if you want to reinstall Windows.  Choose yes and then it will ask you if you want to format the entire volume.

  2. You should use the CDs that came with your computer called "Restore CDs" because they will reformat your hard drive and make it just like it was when you first purchased the computer. Otherwise, if you don't have a CD for the operating system then you shouldn't reformat because then you won't be able to use it afterwards.

  3. Usually u can format a specific drive by using ur command prompt.

    just run cmd

then specify the drive eg format c:

    press enter and follow instructions

Otherwise use an bootable XP cd, run it at startup and boot from CD. As it installs it will give you an option of which drive to format.

  4. ask a technician ,and it depends also to your PC

  5. click start then click my computer,in my computer right click Local Disk (C:) then format. you should have installer cd after format!

  6. go to my computer then right click C: then click format
