I got injured during a soccer game and a year later the back pain has come back. I've gotten massages and I'm doing stretches like Pilate's but it just won't go away!

  1. You'll need some help to do this and believe me it works. Lay on your stomach in bed, have someone take a towel, soak it with hot water, ring it out then apply it to your back. This is moist heat. Have a second towel handy to quickly replace the first towel when it cools. Do this until the skin begins to turn slightly red. Then have them massage your back using Aspercreme Cream and rub it in real good. You could also use a low dose Ibuprofen 400 Mg's to help with the pain and keep the muscles loose. If you are allergic to aspirin don't use either one, the Aspercreme or the Ibuprofen. You can also have them feel along your back muscles from the lower to the upper most part. These are the muscles that lay on each side of the spine. Check for lumps or bumps which is caused by a tight muscle. Have them take their thumb and put pressure on those knots. push down on them until they feel the bump start to quiver. Then release and have them take their fingers and massage in a circle on that bump. It will hurt when they push on these bumps, but won't leave you in any pain from it after-wards. Now to stretch those muscles, lay on your back, bend your legs forward until you can grab both knees with your hands. Now pull the legs as far forward as you can, hold a couple of minutes, then let the legs go back down to the straight position slowly. Do this several times. You can do one leg at a time or both. You can feel those muscles stretching up your leg to the middle of the back. Do these things at least twice a day, also the heat and massage. Tis is not for your back, but if your legs just feel restless and tight, lay on the floor and plant your feet on the cushion of a sofa or chair. Stay in that postion for at least ten minutes moving your feet side to side, forward and back, circles with your toes. This helps blood flow quicker back down into your legs. When you stand up, you will feel like you are walking on a cloud. I wish for you the very best young lady and if you choose to try these things, I hope they help you tremendously. Good luck.

  2. Use a heating pad when you are resting or sleeping. Maybe you should see the doctor if you are in chronic pain.
